Missed this one in theaters along with a few other animated flicks I'm ashamed to have skipped. I'm a bad cartoon lover. :(

The film is fun and I love the performances and look of the characters. Even as a computer animated reporter Tina Fey still manages to be so damn cute. Sigh. Really liked Megamind's fish sidekick and his Robot Monster inspired get-up.

I was 12-13 when this came out and I really wanted to see it but this is one of the few movies my parents didn't want me watching. Something about the whole sex between humans and cartoons thing. There was a standee of Holli adorning the door to the porn room at one of my local mom-and-pop rental places until it closed in the early 2000s. Surprisingly I never saw it because, it wasn't really high on my list and now I can say I saw it but I wasn't too impressed. Some of the animation is pretty good and there are a few good ideas but overall I just didn't care about anything. Not to knock Kim Bassinger but I thought Holli was much more attractive in her animated state. What's wrong with me?

The Incredibles (2004)

I had not seen this since opening night in the theater - over six years ago! It's even better than I remembered and looks lovely on the new Blu-Ray. I really think Pixar can do no wrong, though I still have yet to see Cars. I must try to get over my extreme hatred of Larry the Cable Guy and give it a go. Sigh.

This is a great animated film and a great superhero tale. Would love a sequel to this instead of that one about the automobiles. Oh well, maybe someday...

Immigrants (L.A. Dolce Vita) (2008)

I heard of this a while back because it has a character voiced by Hank Azaria and is made by a former Simpsons head animator. Most, however, will know Csupo as the creator of Rugrats and a few other Nickelodeon shows. If you didn't already know that it would be hard not to figure that out by the animation style. I was never really a fan of Rugrats since I didn't have cable when I was younger (and I think I was past the age of its prime demographic anyway) but I thought this was great. It feels a little disjointed as a feature story, more like a few episodes strung together. After doing a little digging online I see that it was supposed to be a series on Spike. I really wish this would have gone to series because I really liked the style, writing and characters. I'm sure there could be some great things to come from it. Maybe someday in the future something else will happen with Vlad and Joska.
